Travel

The GSA & IET have provided several options for travel during your visit to Munich for the GSA & IET International Semiconductor Forum at the Bayerischer Hof. Please visit the Bayerischer Hof Web site for additional routes by car.

By Air

The most convenient airport is the Munich Airport. Germany’s second-biggest airport guarantees excellent continental and intercontinental air connections.

Just beneath the central area of Munich Airport there is the urban railway (S-Bahn) station of lines S1 and S8. Every 10 minutes there is a S-Bahn service to the city centre.

Flight Information

A discount on travel from US to Munich and international flights on American Airlines is available to guests flying to Munich for the Forum.

To book your airfare, simply complete the following steps:

  • Call American Airlines toll free at +1.800.433.1790
  • Provide GSA's authorization number: A4269AQ for discounts on your airline ticket.
  • Provide the reservation desk with your AAdvantage number. Request upgrades and seat assignment at time of ticketing.

By Rail

From the airport taking the S-Bahn urban railway:

From Munich Airport, take the S-Bahn lines S1 or S8. After about 40 minutes you will reach the Marienplatz stop. Leave the train here and use the "Weinstrasse" exit from the station. Follow Weinstrasse until you reach Maffeistrasse, where you will also see the tram tracks running along the street. Now follow the tracks to the left, until they take you to the main entrance to the Bayerischer Hof.

From the main train station:

From the main train station you can take any of the S-Bahn lines, heading towards Ostbahnhof, getting out after about 5 minutes at the Marienplatz station. Leave the train here and use the "Weinstrasse" exit from the station. Follow Weinstrasse until you reach Maffeistrasse, where you will also see the tram tracks running along the street. Now follow the tracks to the left, until they take you to the main entrance to the Bayerischer Hof.

By Car

Take the München Schwabing exit - to the right of the tunnel, follow the central ring road (Mittlerer Ring) - at the next crossroads turn left into Leopoldstrasse - after the Siegestor (Victory Gate) turn into Ludwigstrasse - turn right into Brienner Strasse - left onto Maximiliansplatz - at the end, turn left into Pacellistrasse and drive along the street until you reach Promenadeplatz.
